Parks and Recreation is an important aspect in the quality of life offered to Mountain View County residents and visitors.
In the County there are five municipal day-use parks perfect for a relaxing outing, and also several municipal reserves where residents and visitors have access. These facilities offer a variety of options, including fishing, picnic areas, info kiosks and short walking trails. There are also two County owned campgrounds that are managed through agreements with outside agencies.
Rules and Regulations regarding use of County Parks, Campgrounds and Day-use Areas are outlined in the County Parks Bylaw.
Other recreation opportunities include a full list of golf courses, access to streams and rivers, camping, and a whole list of recreation facilities like pools, spray parks and other opportunities in our neighbouring urban municipalities of Carstairs, Cremona, Didsbury, Olds and Sundre.
Arts & Culture
Mountain View County and its partner urban municipalities are home to a thriving arts and culture community. Everything from music, stage, dance, fine arts and more can be found in our communities.
