At Mountain View County the health and success of the multi-faceted agriculture industry within the municipality is the primary goal of the Agricultural Services Department.
The department endeavours to help producers - regardless of operation size or focus - meet their goals by offering programs and services that meet the changing needs of producers, or offering referrals to the agencies and businesses that can provide assistance to our farms, ranches, greenhouses, apiaries, and value-added producers.
Programs and Services are determined by the Agricultural Service Board in consort with Mountain View County Council.
Some of the programs and services offered by the Mountain View County Agriculture Services Department include:
- Roadside Mowing
- Roadside & Ditch Brushing
- Parks Management
- Weed Inspection Services
- County-owned Land Lease Management
- Sustainable Agriculture
- Agricultural Pest Inspection
- Soil Conservation
- And more!
You can reach Agriculture Services by calling 403-335-3311 Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm, or by email at ag@mvcounty.com.
