STARS Air Ambulance

Mountain View County is proud to have supported STARS Air Ambulance since 1988, contributing more than $500,000 to help ensure life-saving emergency medical care is available to residents across our region and Alberta. In recognition of this long-standing partnership, the Mountain View County logo now permanently appears on one of the organization's emergency response helicopters.

This video captures the special recognition ceremony held during the County's annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast in 2026, featuring the arrival of a STARS helicopter, the official logo unveiling, and remarks from elected officials and STARS representatives celebrating the impact of this enduring partnership.

Alberta Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) 

  • The Alberta RCMP have initiated an online reporting tool which offers an alternative and convenient way for residents to report non-emergent crime without having to call the police or visit their respective detachment.
  • All reports received through the online reporting interface (OCR tool) are forwarded to the RCMP Call Back Unit for investigation and completion.  Use of online crime reporting by the public provides the frontline members the chance to spend more time on the road being proactive.
