Phase 4 - MDP Review 2011-12

The Municipal Development Plan Review has entered the final stage, Bringing It Home, after months of collecting data and input from the community through a series of stanges under the banner of: Your County, Your Plan.

Mountain View County has given first reading to the MDP Bylaw 09/12 and will be holding public hearings on the proposed bylaw on Wednesday, June 27 at or after 9 a.m. in County Council Chambers. Should demand for public presentations to council dictate, a second hearing date has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 at or after 9 a.m. in Council Chambers.

The draft version of the MDP document given first reading on May 16, 2012 and a summary of major changes are available below in PDF form. The document may take a few moments to download depending on connection speed.

Open House feedback

Please view the presentation (click here) given to MVC Policies and Priorities Committee on Feb. 8/12, that reviews the results of direct feedback from the November/December 2011 Draft MDP Open Houses and from questionnaires provided at those meetings (which was also available via the County website).

The next step in the process will be a further review of this information by County Council at a date TBD.
