Blue-green Algae bloom advisory issued for Hiller’s Dam

A blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom has been identified in areas of Hiller’s Dam, a day-use recreation area within Mountain View County.

Residents living near the shores of this lake, as well as visitors to this lake, are advised to take the precautions outlined in the following Notice from Alberta Health Services:

This advisory is in effect until further notice. Mountain View County advises all residents and visitors to the area to follow the precautions as outlined in the advisory issued by Alberta Health Services.
